Re: Order No 1595527682 - Bed Frame and Mattress Protector

On 20 October I ordered online a bed frame (Fleur Double Metal Bed Frame - White), also a Double Mattress Protector. This was for selected next day delivery.

I took my other bed apart on the morning of 21 October, as there was no need for it. I didn’t receive my order, nor did I get any notification that delivery wouldn’t be made. That night I had to sleep on the mattress on the floor of my bedroom.

I telephoned on 22 October and was told it was no longer available for home delivery. I complained and explained the above. I was informed that it will be arranged for delivery within 48 hours and my delivery charge was reimbursed for the inconvenience.

On 24 October, I got a text message at 12.40pm stating that my items were out of stock and that I needed to contact Argos. I telephoned and after explaining I wasn’t happy about what had happened, this I was informed that delivery could not be made as it was out of stock. I explained this was not so as it was available to pick up at Hounslow Argos. After looking into everything was told once I would get delivery between 2pm and 6pm that day. It got past 6pm. Once again no delivery of my items and no text stating a problem.

I rang AGAIN and was informed me that there was a mistake in what was said and that my items were out of stock. I explained once again that the bed frame and mattress protector were in fact in stock at branch for pick up. I was informed that it was not available for delivery and that a text had been sent stating it was out of stock and there was nothing that could be done, would I want a refund.

As the items were available for collection, I saw no reason especially due to all of the above why I could not get delivery. After all when I ordered the items originally it was available for delivery. It’s not my fault that it changed.

This has caused myself a great deal of stress and anxiety which I really don’t need and because of all the above, feel strongly about what has happened..
